In another year, with all the illegals and drug kings pouring over the border, they will get to take part in a real revolution...one to take back our country.

Kids have no idea why the war took place. It is because of Lincoln that we now have a president like Obama. We gave those people free lodging, free food and jobs on the plantations only to now be trodden on by them. Our immigrants from Italy, Poland and other European areas had to learn the English language to become citizens whereas Obama type people came here as is.

I've never understood why adults still reenact the Civil war, and now I understand even less when kids are doing it. Why do we still reenact such a painful time in this country's history, and what have we apparently not learned from it?

...WTF?! This is the Revolution, not the civil war. Jeez.
Ok, i'll teach you your own history shall i?
English people move to America, they then decide that they then decide that they don't want to pay taxes on their money...most of it gained from slavery in one way or the other, to England. So they commit terrorist acts against the legal government, recruiting help from France who were at war with England at the time.
(Just like Irish terrorists did many times, including when they tried getting the Germans to help them during the world war.
After a long and bloody terrorist campaign, Britain pulls out of America, but the loyalists in the north( Canada )fight on to stay British.
In 1812 there was another brief conflict, in which freedom was given to any slave who joined the Brits, this solidified the borders of the US and Cananda.
Civil war, American unity only survives to the point where you have to start making decisions for yourself. Then you have a rift between the plantation economy in the south and the more industrial in the north. So states start leaving the union..which the other members decide is illegal. So a war starts between the two Ex English terrorist organisations. (At this point the republicans are in the north and democrats were in the south).
While it looked for a while that the Confederation in the south would win, the Union finally come through...
Meaning that people could not be owned after 1865 when your 13th ammendment was passed. Decades after most other places...Land of the free my ASS :P
Anyway, enjoy, go read a book.
