vimeo film festival awards
We love video sharing site Vimeo so much that we've been posting a weekly Best of Vimeo here on Urlesque. So, when we heard that Vimeo is putting on a film festival, we just had to tell you about it. Submissions are open right now through July 31st. There are 10 different categories you can enter and the best overall video wins $25,000. The festival itself will happen October 8-9 in New York City.

This is Vimeo's first time running a festival and they've managed to pull together a good group of filmmakers and other well-known creative types to judge the submissions. They've got David Lynch, DJ Spooky and Morgan "Super-Size Me" Spurlock, among others. David Frickin' Lynch might be watching your video, people. This is a big deal.
