Moon Shoes This week's look at the Best of the Week on Vimeo features an insane amount of fantasy. Moon shoes? Check. Sensory boxes? Of course. Craters looking for love? Definitely. Lonely robots? Why would you even ask?! If you're looking for a great escape from your boring everyday life -- assuming your days are as boring as ours -- then this is a good week to check out the Vimeo scene.

Work by Michael Rianda
When a young boy sees an advertisement for a pair of sweet-looking Moon Shoes, he decides to leave behind his adolescence to join the workforce in an effort to purchase the footwear. Soon, "Frank" must decide what is most important to him. Also, never call "Frank" a liar.

Crater Face by Skyler Page
An astronaut risks it all to bring two craters -- who of course show human emotion -- together. For a second year student film project, this short tells an impressive and heartwarming tale. Like we've said before, it's so touching, you might cry. Unless you lost your soul in the war.

Red by Hyunjoo Song
Taking a classic nursery rhyme and spinning it on its head, Red is a beautiful 3rd year CalArts student project by director Hyunjoo Song. Although the world is being bombarded with 3D animation and even 3D visuals, it's wonderful to see traditional animation being so important in school curriculum.

Envision: Step into the Sensory Box by SUPERBIEN
Global telecommunications giant Alcatel-Lucent tapped creators SUPERBIEN to create a video experience that invites the public into a cube, which represents the company's "mobile experience." It's essentially a mobile service ad that screams, "Look how awesome the things we do are!" Really -- like all mobile providers -- it's a shield that hopes customers will forget all companies really do is overcharge for data plans.

Primavera by Metron
Using a remote controlled Wall-E toy, Primavera tells the story of what it's like for robots who must spend the holiday season alone and to what lengths they will go to discover the rest of the world. It's pretty adorable, until the robot is hurled off of multiple landscapes, which will only serve to anger our robot overlords when they get a hold of this footage.
