Oh the internet...how simple it has become to say so much, so easily. My horrifyingly embarrassing experience goes beyond the norm in that it affected an entire college semester for me.

There I was, sitting in my apartment reviewing an e-mail a professor of mine had sent out to the class, hating life and the assignment about which he was e-mailing. I had been up all night and had been holed up all day working on said assignment when, in this e-mail, the professor decides to change the theme and feel of what he had originally assigned.

I was extremely frustrated and feeling like I would never get this paper off my back. So, I did what any mature, overworked college student would do. I wrote a nasty e-mail to a friend of mine in the class, highlighting all of the annoying, jerk tendencies of our professor. And not pulling any punches, I might add, since I was also jittery from too much caffeine and a little delirious from lack of sleep. Well, I finished up the e-mail and I hit send...

The next morning, I powered up my computer to see about a hundred "OMG I can't believe you did that!" messages in my inbox, along with one very cool sounding message from my professor stating the importance of understanding how REPLY and REPLY ALL work...OMG.

Yes. I did. I had sent my nasty little venting e-mail to my friend and the entire class, including my professor himself. Needless to say, that semester didn't go so well for me in that particular class.
