Bluegrass covers are great because it's not like some 14-year old with Fruity Loops can whip one up in an hour. These covers require dedication from many players, clever arrangements and thousands of dollars worth of denim, rustic denim. Hey, there's a name for your new all-U2 bluegrass cover band. Either that or I Still Haven't Found What I'm Pickin' For or Pluck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of.

How can you have this awesome list and not include one of the Radiohead covers by the Punch Brothers?

How can you not have Luther Wright and the Wrongs excellent Rebuilding the Wall, a complete bluegrass version of Pink Floyd's The Wall?

Dude, the first one is not a Bluegrass band. Do a little instrument research. Those dude's are all playing Ukuleles. I don't think there is in BlueGrass band that includes Ukes. Geez...

About 20 years ago Garrison Kiellor's "A Prairie Home Companion" may have started all of this. Doug & Linda Williams would guest star and every now and then redo every kind of song in bluegrass style. You haven't lived until you've heard them do snippets of the "West Side Story" soundtrack as bluegrass.
