Best of the Week on Vimeo We don't want to make a habit of featuring advertisements in our weekly look at the best that Vimeo has to offer, but we'll make an exception this week. Two of the videos featured in this Best of the Week on Vimeo are devilishly stylish ads. One of the videos is a Stella Artois-sponsored documentary that follows a group of artists telling their amazing stories. The other ad is something of an exposé on the process of making salsa. We think.

"And Then There Was Salsa" by Frito Lay Dips
If you're having trouble explaining to your children how salsa is made, this is the video for you. A chilling exposé, "And Then There Was Salsa" finally reveals Frito Lay's darkest secrets. Either that, or this video is a cool computer-generated commercial that makes the process of creating the snack dip look way cooler than it actually is. We're going with exposé.

Airspace Rebooted by ItoWorld
When Eyjafjallajökull erupted, it blacked out air travel throughout Europe. Airspace Rebooted is an animated look at how dark the skies over the continent were while planes were grounded. Utilizing data from FlightRadar24.com, ItoWorld creates an interesting image of those fateful days and reveals something we've long suspected: volcanoes are banding together for world domination.

M.I.A, Born Free by ROMAIN-GAVRAS
Born Free is a shocking video. Police are dispatched to capture all red-haired citizens, persecuting them for one specific trait without any regard for human decency. You might laugh if you're a South Park fan, but the video is not intended to be funny. It's a reminder that some people in the world are unfairly persecuted for the color of their skin or their beliefs.

Up There by Jon
A Stella Artois-sponsored documentary, Up There follows a group of artists who share their heartwarming (and sometimes heartbreaking) stories. We hate to keep throwing these tearjerkers at you, but when the content is this good we can't help but feature it.

Gravité by Renaud Hallée
Director Renaud Hallée finds his way into yet another Best of the Week on Vimeo and once again it's well-deserved. Like Sonar before it, Gravité focuses on rhythm, this time using falling objects to create a beat. It's another fantastic piece by Hallée and it makes us wonder what he's working on next.
