We hope you're having a good day, because this week's "Best of the Week on Vimeo" is a little depressing. It's filled with super-powered humans on the run, a castle being rocked out of its foundation and a monkey making his way home after a long journey throughout outer space. Depressing might be a strong word, but there's definitely some deep content within this week's Vimeo-focused feature. Either way you might want to prime our "27 Weird, Creative Vandalized Ads" feature to balance out your days with a few laughs, or watch your cat be adorable.

The Raven by Ricardo de Montreuil
In a world where the show Heroes isn't as good as it used to be and The 4400 no longer exists, comes The Raven from director Ricardo de Montreuil. A man with powerful abilities threatens the military regime of an alternate and futuristic Los Angeles only because he walks free. Soon the authorities learn that catching Chris Black seems easier in concept than it is in practice. Developed with a slim $5,000 budget, The Raven is a fantastic-looking sci-fi/action short film.

ACDC vs. Iron Man 2: Architectural Projection Mapping on Rochester Castle by Seeper
Anytime you put the terms "Architectural projection mapping" and "Iron Man 2" into a sentence we're going to pay attention. On the site of brutal historic battles, director Seeper and his team took the latest in 3D animation tech and shook the Great Keep at Rochester Castle out of its foundation with the rock stylings of AC/DC. Many were on site for the event, but we feel for those watching from afar who probably thought a mutated Angus Young was destroying the famous castle Godzilla-style. Just imagine how awesome those emergency call conversations were.

San Francisco in 4K by Patrick Lawler
Director Patrick Lawler showcases his favorite spots in the beautiful city of San Francisco in this popular Vimeo upload. Utilizing the RED ONE camera in 4K mode, Lawler gives viewers a lovingly crafted tour of the city. Beautiful colors and serene music make us wish we could loop this video as our desktop screensaver. Yeah, we could just go outside, but there are people out there ... and they frighten us.

Space Monkey by Leo Burnett
Get that box of tissues out, folks. This video -- created in collaboration between the World Wildlife Fund, singer/songwriter Ben Lee and director Leo Burnett -- features a monkey returning to earth after surviving a long 65-year-long journey throughout outer space. Sadly, the world isn't quite the same as it was when the chimpanzee left making for an emotional conclusion. It's almost a reverse Planet of the Apes situation. Oh, and before you ask: no, the ghost of Charlton Heston does not make a cameo.

Eyjafjallajökull - Fimmförduháls Eruption on Iceland by Marc Szeglat
While the world will remember 2010's multiple eruptions of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano and how it disrupted air travel across Europe, it wasn't the only eruption in Iceland. Neighboring the infamous Icelandic eruption is the Fimmförduháls volcano, captured as it burst by director Marc Szeglat. Unfortunately, Fimmförduháls' eruption didn't cause as big a stir as its neighbor, meaning we will probably never find out who is to blame, according to Rush Limbaugh.
