Best of the Week on Vimeo
Another week has passed and another slew of popular Vimeo titles have chewed through our valuable "work" time. In this week's installment of 'Best of the Week on Vimeo,' we (finally) feature a thieving octopus, a satellite-view car chase sequence and a fan made Star Wars: A New Hope cut featuring music by ... Seal?

Yeah, it gets weird in here.

Octopus Steals my Video Camera & Swims Off with it (While it's Recording) by Victor Huang
It's the popular video making the rounds across the internet featuring a gruff, from the streets octopus just trying to survive on the mean streets (waters?) of the ocean. Honestly, we're slightly bummed out that the octopus didn't get away with this caper. Imagine the fantastic time-lapse and stop motion content it could have created if it got its hand on the proper equipment!

Big Catch: Movie by Moles Merlo
If you learn one thing from Big Catch it's that sneaking up on someone never ends well. In this short film by director Moles Merlo, a diabolical shark decides to sneak up and attack a witless fisherman before his plan goes horribly awry. Impressive animation, beautiful colors and a few great gags make Big Catch worthy of your time. The time you don't spend looking at adorable cat pictures, that is.

Satellite Car Chase by Honest Directors
Utilizing the power of Google Maps, Honest Directors has crafted a suspenseful car chase sequence animation through a busy city street, ending with a heartwarming Valentine's Day message. The video has made the rounds since before Cupid's big day in 2010, but has suddenly spiked in interest again this week. Love is in the air, apparently!

Star Wars Uncut: "The Escape" by Casey Pugh
Crafted from "hundreds of 15 second scenes," Star Wars Uncut: "The Escape" is a quick peek at the fan made remake of Star Wars: A New Hope. Stitching together clips submitted by fans from around the world, the idea is to craft a new vision of the classic film and share it with the world. Also, the video contains Seal's haunting 'Kissed by a Rose,' which reminds us of Val Kilmer's nipple-clad Batman Forever. While we love the idea of remaking Star Wars, we're waiting for the Return of the Jedi remake. We do a mean sarlacc impression.

Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch (HD) Camera E-8 by Mark Gray
In this video, Spacecraft Films showcases close-up footage of camera E-8 during the Apollo 11 Saturn V launch on July 16, 1969, providing insight into the mystery of sending mankind to space. It's an interesting 8 minute video, which only consists of 30 seconds of footage shot at 500 frames per second.
