This is probably the first time you've heard that particular version of the expression, but with these ice cream lights from Mixko, you'll be humming a new tune in no time. At $54, they're definitely on the expensive side, but they do support energy saving bulbs and that's pretty sweet, right?

I HAVE PURCHASED A NUMBER OF THESE 'MONEY SAVERS' AND HAVE FOUND THAT WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO LAST FOREVER, LASTED LESS THAN FIVE WEEK.
THEN I HAD THE PROBLEM OF HAVING TO GET RID OF THEM AFTER HAVING BURNED OUT SO MANY AND STORES WOULDN'T GIVE YOU A REFUND OR TRADE-IN, AND NOW I FIND THAT BY NEXT YEAR THIS TIME, THEY WON'T BE OFFERING REGULAR INCANDESCENT BULBS BECAUSE OF CHANGING OVER TO THESE NEW ONES, WHICH I WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN. I WILL GO BACK TO CANDLES FIRST. HINT: IF YOU WANT TO THROW THEM AWAY, BE SURE YOU ARE AWARE THAT THEY CONTAIN MERCURY AND YOU MUSTN'T THROW THEM IN THE TRASH. HANDLE AT YOUR OWN RISK, BUT BE CAREFUL OF BREAKING THEM AS THAT RELEASES THE MERCURY. THEY ARE FRAGILE SO PACK THEM IN BUBBLE PACK AND SEAL THEM IN A CAN IS WHAT I DID WITH TAPE AROUND THE TOP.
