Nissan wants to build a car with zero emissions and their latest ad shows people driving a vehicle that's already reached that goal: a plain wooden chair. The fun stop-motion vid opens with a guy sitting on a chair in his living room, buckling the chair's imaginary safety belt, starting the imaginary engine and taking off out the door. Of course, this is all accompanied by appropriate sound effects.
In the coolest part of the video, the guy meets up with some other chair-driving friends and they retract their chair legs and go down a hill Mario-Kart style. There's even a sweet spin-out.
This video wouldn't be complete if they didn't take the chairs out for a little road test, so the four chair-drivers cruise an empty three-lane street before splitting up and heading home. I don't know if this makes me want to buy a car, but now I definitely want to buy a go-kart. Unfortunately, the closest thing to a magical chair-car on the market right now is Honda's U3-X, which looks like what would happen if a Segway and a unicycle had a baby.
