From 1989 to 1998, I couldn't start my day without a tune from Jesse Frederick. That dapper Dan was the bee's cheese. He did all the theme songs for my Friday night friends, from my show Family Matters to Step by Step (which I was on), Full House (which I was also on) and Perfect Strangers. What? No Boy Meets World? No siree bob, that was Ray Colcord, who scored pretty much all the other swingin' shows.
While Mr. Frederick's original holds a special place in my heart (just below my waistline), I can be swayed to shake a leg to most anyone's interpretation of his groovy tunes. Here are some of my favorite covers, remixes and mash-ups of the Family Matters theme, As Days Go By.
- Bluesy
- Jazzy
- My personal favorite, a cappella.
- Acoustic
- Video Remix
- Keyboard
