As little tolerance we have for the sound (well, even the idea) of metal scraping against metal, we were unduly impressed by Christopher Locke's art project, in which he took discarded scissors from the Transportation Security Administration and sculpted them into eight-legged arachnids.
The TSA, claims Locke, "officially allows scissors with blades less than four inches," and these longer blades were discarded among eight million other items, including "guns, knives, narcotics, cuticle scissors, mousse, pudding, and bottled water."
