Waiting for the subway, or any other form of public transit, isn't the most comfortable experience around. Sure there are usually some chairs, but they're stiff, narrow and covered with tiny little things that used to live on people you'd never want to touch in real life.
IKEA can't do anything about the microbes, but they can make the make the waiting game a hint more mid-century pleasant. From March 10-24, IKEA is upgrading a number of high-traffic subway stations in Paris with home furnishings like couches, chairs and lamps. They'll also be decking the walls with huge prints that showcase IKEA interiors. So sit down, take a load off, munch on a Swedish meatball or two. The train will be here any minute now.
