Former host of The Price Is Right Bob Barker has always been known as a womanizing, archaically-minded dude (see the lawsuits). Granted, he loves animals ("Spay and neuter your pets" was his sign-off for every show, so, aww or whatever), but Rich at FourFour compiled a video of vintage clips from the game show that clearly demonstrate just how often Barker referred to women as "little girls." And that's about as cute as a grown man treating respectable females like babies, literally.
Turns out Billy Madison Happy Gilmore was right: the price is wrong. Just so wrong.

Man, how can you try and show the creep factor without showing him make all those women stick their hands in his pocket to get the bonus they'd win from the wheel spin?
Talk about ewww.

well, at least he's not racist. He treats all women as equally unequal to men, regardless of race =)

Oh come on - you can't be serious! What is so offensive about his actions, especially given the time period and the way women responded by swooning over him with "quivering voices"? Why did they worship him so if they didn't actually adore him and they weren't thrilled over his ability to charm them? I am a 47 year-old feminist who grew up watching his shows with my Grandma and neither of us ever felt demeaned. I haven't had the time or interest to watch in the past 25 years, but can't possibly see how this man can be a threat. In reality it's Vanna White that should be sued for perpetuating the stereotype that women are dumb beauty queens, but if that's what people want to watch then who can argue with them? In this case the verdict should be that people vote with their feet (or remote controls). There are so many more important things to worry about in the world than Bob Barker!
