Pigeons are some of the most resilient, clever, and assertive birds around. Originally imported to North America as food, they quickly let the world know that they had other plans. They would congregate in our parks, roost under our elevated trains, relieve themselves wherever they pleased, all while reproducing at a rate that would make rabbits envious. There would be very few pigeon dinners in the new world. If anything, it would be our responsibility to feed them.
Though there have been numerous reports of birds following our highways when they migrate, it seems fitting that the illustrious pigeon would be the species of bird to take use of our public transit system to a whole new level. That's right, pigeons are now riding the subway. Here's Henry the pigeon riding the subway in Toronto. To see more animals taking public transportation, check out our awesome collection.

As a high school teacher and university lecturer, I can tell you that these spelling and grammar errors are typical of people today, from high school all the way through college. It is a sad commentary on the world today. It is sad and it is no wonder that thie country is in the kind of trouble that we are in. BE AFRAID...BE VERY AFRAID!
