They don't use ink*, they won't do anything for your documents, and saying that you couldn't get your 3D printer to work last night probably won't get you an extension on your term paper. That said, all three of those things are lame, so why would you even care that a 3D printer can't do them?

Especially when 3D printers use a technique of successive layering (of materials like plastic, metal, etc) to do a little thing called printing objects in 3D. You don't even need to wear any of those dorky glasses or sit through Avatar to see them.
