'Burn Notice' Gets in on the David Caruso Spoof Meme

What happens when a meme hops out of your television, gets into the internet and then hops out and back into the television again? That's a true mindfreak (and NOT the Criss Angel kind). Thanks to an intrepid reader and our very own Kelly Reeves, we were alerted to the David Caruso CSI: Miami meme making an appearance on USA's Burn Notice last night. Sam Axe (played by actor Bruce Campbell) got in on the parody fun with a subtle jab at Caruso's signature move -- putting on his sunglasses while delivering an awfully dramatic one-liner.

in addition to the sunglasses, Caruso apparently feels like his "best side" is the right. Don't think I've ever seen him look straight into the camera. Everytime I watch that show, which is seldom, I think the poor man must have a crick in his neck.

I think that David Caruso is awesome on CSI:Miami my favorite tv show! I own most of the csi:miami seasons on dvd! the one liners and the sun glasses are awesome! I love that show!

I can't stand David Caruso. He is the perfect example of a little man's big ego. I thought when he left NYPD Blue, we would be rid of him forever. I have to admit that I am astonished by the success of CSI Miami. I have never watched it so I must assume that there is much more to the show than his character. I had thought he would be having a bit part as maybe a reoccurring
cabin boy (much more suited to his appearance) I'm surprised he was given the lead role. I can't guess what demographic he appeals to. His whimpy little body doesn't make the sex appeal group, his face has no character or interest. He's just creepy.
Is this show supposed to be a parady? That might explain it.

Actually, I am not an idiot. And I do understand the word "campy". That doesn't change my opinion of him. I just can't
watch him. As I said,I don't watch the show and I don't crticize those who do. It makes little difference to me that he intentionally plays it campy. In my opinion he looks like a fool. There are shows to go around for everyone, so thankfully, I don't have to watch this one. I'm confident that some of the shows I watch and actors I enjoy, many of you would not. I would not presume that anyone is an idiot because their opinions are different from mine. Actually, the reverse is true. If you think one is an idiot because they don't agree with you, your intelligence is more in doubt than mine. Are we all suppose to like the same things? How boring would that be? Who would get to pick what we all watch or eat or anything we don't agree with? What if it wasn't you? Then you might not get to watch anything you like. Lighten up and realize that differences in opinions is a wonderful thing. You are free to idolize what I see as a ridiclous little man with no talent.He can be your favorite in the world, it doesn't bother me. It doesn't make me think you are an idiot. Be prepared for others to sometime disagree with you, Ray. Try to accept their absolue right to do so. You have not been put in charge of accessing the intelligence of those you have never met just because you don't agree with them. You might read a bit on the rules of debate. You may attack the idea or opinion of others, but personal attacks do not further your position. It makes you look weak rather than strong in winning your point. Now, you have a good day
