This past weekend the DC Snowpocalypse blanketed our nation's capital and its surrounding areas with more than a million feet of snow. That's a bit of an overstatement – it was more like two to three – but still, that's a ton. Here are a few time-lapse videos of the storm. After you've watched them, why not make your own time-lapse of today's Nor'easter and send us a link?

I live in Minnesota so I know snow...but I got to say I thought these videos were still pretty cool! Good job to those who filmed them. My favorite was in the last one and of course you just catch a quick glance but I liked the little kid pulling his sled. :)

I used to live in MD and I now live in IL I understand its alot of snow to MD but I must agree STOP WHINNING about it... last night we got a good bit of snow as it snows here about every other day sometimes alot sometimes not so much but our state (IL) doesn't shut down MD shuts down if it 1 inch or more its crazy how a state is so scared of snow and I agree until you've delt with 5feet and 4 feet get over it.... I am From NY and while I'ved lived in MD school/work was canceled for the little crazy things ice on the street all sorts of stuff I am glad I left that crappy place IL is so much better and alot like Home (NY) Where the people are brave and don't whine about snow. lol

I love how people who don't live here say that we are whining. These videos are time-lapsed, and not once did I hear any whining. It must make you feel pretty special to live in IL now, where 4-5 ft of snow is normal, and you got out of this "crappy place". One reason that the MD govt. closed school here is because there is nowhere for the kids who wait for the bus to stand. The 49 inches we got here in my town is piling up on sidewalks, yards, and parking lots. There is simply nowhere to put it all. For the most part we aren't whining. We are coming together to help each other out. And even if we were whining (which would be understandable, 49 inches is a lot of snow), we are not bitching, which is what a lot of these comments are. AND here in MD we teach punctuation, did wherever you are from not teach that, Theresa? IL, or NY, or wherever the heck you are from? When reading your comment it's hard to tell where one sentence ends and another begins. Guess you didn't go to school in this "crappy place".

It's the same everywhere. I live in Ft Lauderdale. In July and August, the babies weep because it's so hot. Bulletin= It's the sub-tropics in mid summer. What did you expect? A glacier?
