So I guess this bear has three legs and has learned to live with it, so well, in fact, that she walks around like an adult human on two legs.
The only thing that would make this cooler is if the bear had a martini in its sole paw. Because you know what they say about bears sipping martinis: IT IS THE BEST (even if it's fake).

I wonder how many Bigfoot sightings were actually a bear walking around on their hind legs.

Wonder how many Big Foots are mistaken for bears. Problem with bears is you can only shoot them once, and their meat is tough...Al-

What is sad is chances are man has probably caused the loss of his leg. He probably got caught in a trap and had to gnaw his own leg off. It is very sad what we do to animals, for our own benefit.

It's photochopped. Fake! A bear doesn't have knees joints that can bend like a humans legs as it walks. But it's funny to watch when the camera man replaces the real bear with the fake. That camera man wouldn't be alive to post this especially after mama bear caught him so colse to baby bear. LOL

Hey Linda it's a she bear and trapping bears is illegal except in extremely rural areas where it's necessary to keep them from attacking children and pets.

Ginny...you can watch the bear walk around on three legs and the hind legs do indeed bend.

Ginny, I'm talking about the bear at the beginning of the video. You can clearly see she/he is missing a leg! You say "the camera man wouldn't be alive to post this, especially after mama bear caught him so close to baby bear". The cameras we have now can video from very far away. Far enough that the bear wouldn't even know he was around.

pop pop Hunting might be illegal. But do you really think that keeps everyone from hunting them? How could she of completely lost her leg? If she would of hurt it or broke it, it would still be intact. I know it could of been caused by something else. But to me chances are she got her leg caught in a trap. That's just my opinion. You can have yours.

Hey! It looks real to me! Besides, i've seen bears in circus acts do this, when lured by their trainers. They look absolutely the same! All animals adapt. Also, the camera man was most likely no more than 45-50 ft. from the mother bear. Camouflage, and that tree he was peeking from behind, could've easily aided him in his concealment. A foraging mother bear is quite alert, but will only attack what she can clearly visualize, unless you're at a comfortable distance from her cub. They'll be content with that. Pose a threat? You'd better have a rifle. Hopefully you administer a warning shot first, in that case.
@Ginny PhotoSHOPPED? (spellcheck, nimrod) Nah. I don't think so. =/

I hope they don't catch the bear and use it as a freak sideshow. Let it live free.

Well I guess if you're being chased by a bear, your chances of getting away increases if it's a 3-legged bear that's chasing you. lol

Extraordinary video. Why this bear only has a partial leg is the question. Congenital? Attacked by another bear or animal and sustained injury? Caught in a trap? Infection that caused the loss? There's many possible scenarios, but it's amazing but not surprising how animals adapt. D.H. Lawrence said, "I've never seen a wild thing sorry for itself." Maybe there's a lesson to be learned here.
As far as trapping of animals: it's cruel and indiscriminate and ought not be permitted. There are other more humane ways to handle a bear problem.
And finally, ever hear of a telescopic lens?

It is not a fake.
And bear's joints do resemble ours.
