Guys, I know that you know that I know that the internet loves itself some weird animals -- the slow loris, the blobfish, the Montauk Monster, for examples -- but I feel the need to point out that we haven't had a new creature in a while. With the blobfish in decline, the Montauk Monster mystery sort of solved and the slow loris still adorable, we need a new cool creature! I think I have the answer to our problem: the hummingbird moth.

"HUH?!?!" (That is you, being incredulous that such a creature could exist.) Yup, you heard me, the hummingbird moth. It has got to be the coolest, craziest, zaniest, most nutso animal not already popular on the web. Oh sure, there's a small community of intertubular hummingbird moth lovers, but there's plenty of room to grow.
