Ready to get mystified? Alex Delaney's Walking Crowd is chock full of camera tricks. Or maybe not. Have you ever been to the city where identical twins walk in place? There are no buildings, there's no ground, it's a chroma-key nothingsville where people are always on their way to work. Sounds like a nice place to visit, but we wouldn't want to live there.

i found the clip insightful...if the commentators above had just seen the clip with out a prologue they would have been questioning themselves with regard to their immediate perception. Once something is explained, of course everyone knew it.
People didn't know about subliminal imaging until someone made the process public, then it became illegal.
It's the same with the "visual mini bursts"(jrg1/31/10) of adds on the info? tube. You see them as a flash reminder of a larger image (advertisement), they try and approach our reaction time, the same as events in a horror movie. That's what makes them either too exciting or too upsetting.
Never be to smug or too smart.....someone must have said.....

They aren't walking at all. The camera is moving and everyone is walking in place. It's an optical illusion
