David Caruso donning his shadesRemember Joe Cool, from the underpants? Us neither. But if we had to call somebody "Joe Cool," it would definitely be David Caruso of 'CSI Miami.' As Horatio Caine, the ginger-haired lothario reeks of sex and machismo, and his devil-may-care attitude regarding homicide, murder, and mutilation proves that even redheads can be The Worst.

When one YouTube video collected more than seven minutes worth of brilliant opening scenes from "CSI: Miami" -- conveniently combining the ridiculous one-liner followed by adhering of shades to David Caruso's visage -- the internet went wild.

By now, CBS and David Caruso are in on the joke, which is a beautiful turn of events amid the awkward dance between television and internet culture. In fact, the network is holding an online contest in a search for the best impression of Caruso's character, the winner of which will get $5K. We'll let David explain (good luck!):
