High schools across this great land of ours continue, year after year, the tradition of performing classic musicals for doting parents and chortling classmates.
Dare we say that the supremely low Q factor for amateur thespians has been raised in light of the success of 'High School Musical' and 'Glee,' two cultural phenomenons that have transitioned musical theater from Lame to Lame Lite?
Okay, sure, we'll go with that. But that doesn't mean that these kids aren't the Mayors of Hilarioustown when Peter Pan's intentions to teach Wendy how to fly go terribly, terribly awry.

When all this much goes wrong, just enjoy it; that way you and theaudience are in it together. Knock down the 4th wall 'cause it didn't want to stay up anyway! Break a leg!

At least they tried, and took the mishaps in stride.
Let's hope they all go on to far better accomplishments than bitchy reporting on inane stories, like this, for AOL.

I was in the back of the audience. I was the tech director for that show. (meaning sound ONLY) We were fully prepared on our part, it was a mistake on the company of whom we rented to rig our flying machine who fucked up. And the show did go on!

OH MY GOSH, I can't believe this is on AOL. I was one of the actors in the scene. Let me tell you that my heart skipped a beat back stage, and when our second actor was accidently went flying. Completely embarrassing running across the stage... While watching this now is very funny, it could have been a dangerous situation, if our flying director hadn't been there. The show did go on and was great for the rest of our performances. What can you do, opening night is crazy!

Hey don't worry about it. Although it is hilarious...That's what happens in high school plays. When I was in high school, we didn't build our set fast enough for Titanic The Musical (no relation to the movie). Our captain sailed with a pretend wheel/helm until our fifth performance. He looked a little bit nutters standing up there with his hands guiding and turning a nonexistent wheel. Hooray!

When my grammar school did OLIVER, my best friend played the Artful Dodger and towards the end he stood towards the back of the stage and the entire set dropped on him. The set had a bridge in it and the audience began to sing "London Bridge is falling down..." It was hilarious.

I could not help laughing, but I must commend everyone for keeping the show going. It's not easy putting on a live show and anything can happen. In the short time that I viewed the video, I was very impressed with the set, even if it started to fall down. LOL Bravo to all and hope you have a better second night! Break a leg!
