It's 2010. Wowza. These are exciting times. Sure, we're still five years away from the Back to the Future II-world of self-drying jackets and flying cars, but there are still some pretty electrifying technological advances happening right now. Filmmakers can now make use of blue creatures in ways that 'X-Men: The Last Stand' (2006) and 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' (1984) couldn't even imagine! Google can animate its logos! And perhaps most exciting of all, grandmas across the planet now have the technology to let loose like the limberest of youth while riding virtual roller coasters. The future is now!

This is great. I agree anyone who says it is stupid does not appreciate someone having a good time and probably doesn't know how to themselves. These two ladies obviously KNEW it was a virtual rollercoaster and were just having a good time with it. GOOD FOR THEM. It looked like fun.

I have a funny story:
We took my mother ( age 73 ) to Walt Disney World on a family trip. At one point, she said she wanted to ride the Casey Jones train from Adventureland back to Main Street so she could go shopping.
So, off she goes on her own. She asked a cast member where she could get on the train. The cast member pointed her in the direction she needed to go.
Well, she got on the train all right, but it wasn't the choo-choo she thought she was getting on. She boarded the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Now, you would think that somebody would have noticed this little old lady, by herself, with her pocketbook and plastic rain cap boarding the runaway train and think something was amiss.
But no. Grandma went for the ride of her life.
After she told us what happened, I was shocked that she didn't notice that something wasn't right ... that she was on a thrill ride and not the Casey Jone choo-choo train.
She said, "Well, Disney World is such an amazing place, I thought to myself that the train didn't even need an engineer."
Seems she was in the first car.
I asked her if she panicked when she realized what was happening.
My mom said, "Nah. I just put my arms up and figured I could either die having fun ... or die being scared. I decided to have fun."
Age really IS just a number. You have to wonder why younger people think it's odd or funny to see seniors enjoying themselves. If we are lucky, we will all be there someday and a LOT sooner than you think!

Shelly,
I loved your story, give your mom a hug for me and tell her I hope she loved Disney (I'm from FL and went there every year growing up).
To everyone who is complaining, why did you watch it then?? It SAYS green screen, you KNEW what you were going to see.
