I need to exercise a little impulse control with my domain purchases this year. In the excitement of finding out that ArtorShit.com or bloggerhea.com are actually available, (seriously though, can you believe those were still available?) I have to yank the reigns and say 'hey little miss long on ideas, short on time, are you actually going to do something with Web-estate?'

My 2009 URL-buying tear has come back around to nip at my ass. My inbox is flooding with renewal notices I'm too poor to keep but I can't let them go. Like, DamienHirstpaymystudentloans.com -- what if he happens upon that site and is convinced that paying my loans is a good use of his fortune? Or, what if someone actually buys one of the $5,000 t-shirts we have for sale on drawnika.com? It would be worth the renewal. The money I spend to keep my kenseypete.com internet loop project up is worth couple bucks but is it worth keeping less realized URLs just because I enjoy giving out the address jennifer@vaginaballoons.com sometimes? Probably not, but the thought of anyone else owning Avantard.com tears my guts up.

So to save myself the sorrow I'm going to feel when I let titt-er.com expire a couple months, I'm going to really work at only buying the URLs I'm going to use this year.
