When we reach year 75, we imagine day-to-day life will revolve mostly around ointments, easy-to-use can openers, and maybe a game of mah jong every now and then. Between counting pills and watching Wheel of Fortune (likely to run for another 120 years or so), we won't have much time for else. If we're lucky, we'll get our workout doing some slow water aerobics or maybe even a rough-and-tumble round of shuffleboard or two (probably not two).
Or we could just follow the lead of Sarah "Paddy" Jones, a British grandmother of seven whose killer dance moves have earned her the coveted title of "the next Susan Boyle" after the left the judges awe-struck on the Spanish version of America's Got Talent.

That lady is older than 75! I am 75 and she looks at least 85. I have friends in their 70's who are avid dancers, dancing several times a week so it's not that unusual. The "youngsters" in the media need to catch up with what's happening in the senior world. Seventy-year-olds are super active these days and even 80 year olds are taking major international trips and doing all sorts of active tings. The Hollywood image of old people is not accurate anymore!

Now I can appreciate her talents at her age. Good on her.
I've seen other younger women dance in the same manner. But I'm sorry some of the moves were unclassy. Why do dancers need to show positions where their "sensitive" areas are in the other person's face? I've never seen anything like that until the last few years. More and more dancers are dancing in the matter. Look, I don't mind "risque" styles in dancing, and I'm no expert...but be sensible and classy. You need not dance with your boo boos in other's faces or grab at them while pulling up your partner just to show talent/agility.
Whether's she 75 or 25...vile!

I am now 81 years old, but I began ballroom dancing when I was 66. At 75 I was in my prime, but still can do pretty good tricks. No longer competing however. Everyone should try it. It also helps to have a good partner.
