Before cell phones and computer web sites got all "good" with their polyphonic sounds and "real music," there was MIDI. Often set to play automatically upon opening a page, the tune that greeted you was usually a tinny, synthesized version of a real song. Now we laugh, but in the mid-nineties, MIDI on one's homepage was a way of life, a basic tenant of taking a tour through Geocities or Angelfire.
Jason Scott loves his MIDI, and remembers it fondly. That's why he's making available for free download the top ten most popular MIDI songs in the history of GeoCities!
Our favorite, of course, is super 90's. Hit it, RoboCeline!

Midi is the industry standard for professional music production of today. Instead of the lame wavetables that were used back in the day, modern Midi triggers op to 32GB sound libraries. The protocol has remained the same and is going stronger than ever.
