This first video was captured on November 21st by an office building's security camera in Midrand, South Africa. It takes a few seconds but boy is it worth it.
This video was taken by a police cruiser's dash cam in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Here's how it looked to those who were a little farther away from the action.
And this beautiful footage was taken in Southern California.

Wonderful videos. 'Shooting stars' are out there all the time. If you have good conditions, dark, clear, no light interference from nearby homes or cities. Do like my uncle taught us when we were kids. Dress warm, get something hot to drink, lay out in the lounge chair and just watch one section of the sky. You'll see something eventually... Maybe not as spectacular as the first video...but something!

if a meteor comes too close to the earth we would have enough time to realize its coming and alert everyone. so we wont instantly die and most comets burn up in the atmosphere

ALL your 2012 Fears can be LIFTED. Go to WWW.2012hoax.ORG. the other websites telling you about the 2012 doomsday was made by the SONY corp. or the people that did the movie 2012. the mayans didnt predict ANYTHING. the calendar resets after that 2012 date. our planets align every 21st of December. the chinese calendar doesnt make predictions.www.2012hoax.org will answer all of you questions. trust me. nobody can predict the end.

What was the name of that cult who in 1997 committed suicide, oh yeah, it was Heaven's Gate, an American UFO cult based in San Diego, California, founded and led by Marshall Applewhite (1931–1997) and Bonnie Nettles (1928-1985). [1] On March 26, 1997, police discovered the bodies of 39 members of the Heaven's Gate cult, all of whom had died by apparent suicide. That was behind their belief that Haley's Comet was going to destroy the earth. Well, they were wrong and so are so many others believing that 2012 is going to be the end. For all anmy of us know, it could be 2012 or 2011, whenever Iran gets enough nukes to start launching against thew USA and Isreal. You see, they don't care about Mutually Assurred Destruction (MAD). Their entire goal is to get us all to Allah as quickly as possible. So, hang in there until...

The calm before the storm ! This may be the first batch of meteors to hit Earth in a major cluster to follow, kind of like a cosmic storm. The tail end of this shower may be soon to follow ! It could be huge, it could be nothing. But keep in mind the word WormWood ! From the Bible

These were awesome!!! I saw flashes above the clouds where I live but thought it was lightning, and just last night saw a meteor that looked just like the ones in the vids.

I live in Utah and I usually try to make it out to watch meteor showers that I'm aware of that are going to take place but, most of the time, they're unimpressive and quite boring. So, on November 17-18, 2009, since it was so cold outside, I decided it wasn't worth freezing my butt off simply to go outside and watch a few distant shooting stars. So, I stayed inside and was on the computer when I saw what appeared to be extremely bright headlights out my kitchen window and I thought it was just someone turning around in my driveway. However, checking my local news' Web site a short time later, come to find out, it was an impressive Bolide Meteor (which looked like the ones shown in the first two videos) that had streaked across the sky at about 12:07 a.m. Utah time, November 18, 2009. Apparently, this thing was seen in Utah, Nevada, California, Idaho and several other states in the Western region. I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not going outside to watch the meteor shower now.

I was the Officer who took that video. I was actually looking to my left for approaching traffic when the night sky lit up, which made me think there was a bomb exploding somewhere close to me. Luckily I was able to see the last second of the meteor exploding and hit record on my in-car video system, which automatically backs up 30 seconds, and luckily the camera was in range to catch it on the right side of the frame. When I was able to watch it I thought it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and was fortunate enough to get it on video.
