- Warning: Your salt may contain salt
- Warning: Your eggs may contain eggs
- Warning: Your peanuts may contain peanuts
- Warning: Your butter may contain milk
- Warning: Your soy protein and soy milk may contain soy

- Warning: Your headless sardines may contain fish
- Warning: Your almonds may contain almonds

- Your pistachios may contain pistachios

- And, in case you haven't guessed, your nuts may contain nuts

I did a double take the first time I saw peanuts listed as an allergen on my jar of *cough* PEANUT butter.
I get the labeling laws where something may not be obvious. But I think that, if someone sues over something OBVIOUS that's unlabeled (eg milk in, oh, MILK?) They should just be killed, in the name of protecting the gene pool.

Which would you think is easier to follow or enforce:
If your product contains an ingredient on this list of allergens:
a) you must list the ingredient(s) in the allergy section of your label.
OR
b) you must list the ingredient(s) in the allergy section of your label, unless the ingredient(s) is included in the name or sub-name of the product, or is represented by a picture on the label, or can be clearly seen through the packaging, or can be used to classify the type of the product, or is the only or main item in the ingredients list, or if the ingredients list uses a 6 point font.
