Remember Longcat, the stretched-out cat that, well, looked longer than a normal cat? Hence its slogan, "Longcat is long"? Well, Reddit found his cousin, Long Horse.

Back in 2006, Boing Boing tried to convince readers that long horses really used to exist as a separate breed. Okay, they weren't too serious about it, with doctored photos like these:

But horses and cats aren't the only animals to win online fame for their impressive length. I found loads of others. And these ones are (mostly) real...
- This long Siberian Tiger likes a good stretch:

- Blogger Marcus Lorenz claims a Captain Charles Chompson captured this 38-foot-long whale shark:

- Flickr user signalstation has a long kitten (cc).

- The Museum of New Mexico exhibited the fossil left by an eight-foot-long bug called arthropleura.

- But the perfect partner for Longcat must be this little Loldog named Longdog.
