Here at Urlesque HQ, one hard and fast tenet of Internet knowledge is that everything online has a second life (if not third or fourth). The old becomes new again when the masses rediscover something like the following video, a gem from all the way back in 2006.
In it, two co-eds climb up to the 21st floor of their library and take the plunge (luckily with a parachute at the ready).
Stand back, you guys: GENIUSES AT WORK.

complete idiocy! It is anirresponsible act to place this on internet where children could be influenced

I'm guessing you meant parachute - not parachute shoot. . . If so, this isn't a big deal. BASE jumping is very common, albeit occasionally illegal because it often involves trespassing. Any kid who might be "influenced" to try it would have to be suicidal.

HAHAHA "where children could be influenced"???
if children decide they want to try this at home their parents obviously forgot to teach them about common freakin sense. so many children would be much better off and our future as a species secure if so many parents weren't idiots.

For the Eliot Glazer whose byline appears below the headline. The word you're seeking is "tenet" and not "tenant."

He does mean "tenet." A tenet is a belief or position.

Looks like a thrill, but listen to the guy talk at the end. He sounds seriously dim.
by:// Max - Nov 10th 2009
Wow, how very exciting..... oh wait, no it isnt. Why put this lame crap as news???
by:// Char - Nov 10th 2009
Oh, one other thing. Notice he walked through the library without looking at a single book. Maybe he'll stop and look at one before he becomes what he's turning into. Let's hope.

Big deal, another base jump. What's the big deal?
by:// David - Nov 10th 2009
Judy, I love it! The word now reads "tenet" rather than "tenant". Someone (the author, perhaps) must check the comments and took your advice.

Big Deal! Why not play on the Freeway! Don't waste our time!

Gotta wonder about the author (and editor) of this article, however.
The jumpers are not co-eds. That term means "female student".
by:// Jeff - Nov 10th 2009
A co-ed is defined as a FEMALE student.

JRS, please shut the hell up. The internet is full of stupid stuff that kids watch on a daily basis. If kids really are dumb enough to be influenced by this video, then maybe they would be better off dead.
by:// bepetroleum - Nov 10th 2009
I just want to know why it was possible to open a window on the 21st floor.
by:// Will - Nov 10th 2009
That was cool.
The cam work sucked, I was hoping to see the first jumper land.
Yep I know, stupid idea but still cool.
by:// brenda - Nov 10th 2009
Maybe I'm "old school," but the phrase "co-ed," used as a noun, used to refer to a girl who attended a co-educational school. Neither of the brain donors in the clip appeared to be female. They did, however, appear pretty irresponsible. On the other hand, with all the s**t going on in the world, is this really news in the first place? Outside of the respective college newspaper, I mean.
