These mystery creatures are equal parts pocket-sized primate and bug-eyed alien. And look at those spidery fingers. This thing has the hands of a tiny, tiny man. I don't know whether to smile or cry.

it's called tarsier, it can be found in bohol, philippines.
it's one of the endangered species in the country and it is the smallest primate in the world.

it's also a nocturnal creature that, when disturbed/frightened, can commit suicide by banging its head repeatedly against a tree. kind of like a special pokemon.
very cute but lots of tourists don't act correctly around it, scaring it, touching it & doing all sorts of things to agitate it. add to that the fact that many of them are now being forced to stay awake during the day for tourists.
