The following video is a real ad for a real business called "Jesus Christ Bail Bonds", and it's so amazing I thought it must be a comedy sketch, or viral marketing, or something. Cuz who would ever dream of exploiting the awesomeness of Jesus for profit?!

But in the name of 'investigative journalism,' I called the phone number in the ad, and let me assure you, Jesus Christ Bail Bonds is real, and they're fabulous. The transcript of our conversation follows:

Me: Yes, hello, is this Jesus Christ Bail Bonds?
JC BB: Yes, yes it is.
Me: Are you guys real, or an internet joke?
JC BB: We're real, man.
Me: Cool, and where are you located?
JC BB: Baltimore, Maryland.
Me: Thank you.

I'm just confused that this was never worked into an episode of The Wire.

That's just messed up. Jesus can get people out of spiritual issues but to use his name for bail bonds is going a little too far in my opinion. It's misrepresenting Jesus.

I don't see any credible thing on their website except for the ammendments they list as a reason for why they are offering services. There's no professional website layout or success stories from previous clients. Every webpage to the links at the top are the same so there's nothing pertaining to what their links are about. I'm not criticizing them but sadly they seem more of a joke than legit or credible. And it seems like they are saying that Jesus Christ will get people out of jail but they are offering the bail bond service which sends a mixed message. They even link a video that makes fun of their service.

Sorry Bishop Berry. It just seems like you're saying that Jesus Christ will get anyone out of jail. Are there any limits to who you will get out?
