After years of worship, we finally got our hands on a copy of deliciously vicious blog-to-book phenom, Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Hilariously Wrong. The book features the best in cake misspellings, mistakes and general miscommunication, and is based upon Cake Wrecks the site, which collects photos of baked goods-turned-sidesplitting-catastrophes to display and mock (all in good fun, of course!)
The book is equally as brilliant, and in honor of its release we're presenting a collection of our favorite cake disasters from the book -- which happens to be the perfect stocking stuffer for the sweet-toothed and foodies alike.

- The famous 'Wal-Mart cake' has been making the rounds since 2007 in good ol' email forwards. It comes complete with accompanying conversation snippets, attempting to explain the reason for its amazing existence. The truth behind the 'Wal-Mart cake' may never surface, but it makes for the perfect cover image.
- We believe this was supposed to read 'Happy Birthday You Old Bastard' -- which isn't really what you want to hear on your birthday, but is certainly better (and more sensical!) than what happened here. Nice deer, too.
- This is something straight out of the 'The Office', but credit must be given to the artist, because with out those "action lines" above the slap action, this would be a WHOLE OTHER CAKE.
- Speaking of "whole other cake", this is definitely one of those. And FYI: it's not for sale.
- Last but not least, if you want to show someone you truly care, tell them you "LAVE" them.
