In this weekly feature, we investigate proud packrats who put their weird collections on display to a new audience through the glory of YouTube. From Beanie Babies to spoons, Internet, show us your junk!
Spoons are for slurping soup, slapping on your knee during a good old-fashioned jamboree and, of course, collecting. We're sure you've seen them at gift shops, miniature spoons with some kind of decorative handle and top, meant to take home as a souvenir of your time spent at the Antibellum Plantation or the Planetarium. Buy just one of those silver spoons, and you're weird. But if you collect them, and turn them into YouTube displays, then you're golden. Check out the 4 mini-spoon collectors and one out-there spoon collector below.
My Spoon Collection by stealthkiller3000
stealthkiller3000 Says it all at the start, "I know what you're thinking, who collects spoons? Seriously!?"
Spoon collection by jamoonabum
While we don't learn more about these spoons (why is the last one tagged, but none of the others are? WHY?) we do learn that there are 12 of them. 12 spoons.
Spoon Collection by TexasTennisPlayer
This can not be technically called a "Spoon Collection" because, as the videographer points out, he does have one fork. One tiny fork. We're way more interested in that fork than the rest of this dimly shot collection of spoons. Although one of the spoons does have a roadrunner at the top of it...
Spoons in the Museum, Mumbai by slave7
slave7's mom loves spoons, so he had to get her this clip from a museum. "That's for mom!" We hope she enjoyed it as much as we did.
Collector's Spoons by NateSean
You don't get to see any one spoon in detail, but this silent 11 seconds of spoon admiring is sort of zen-like. We also love the use of packing tape to hold your spoons to their decorative board.
My Spoon Bending Collectiong By Using Jack Houck Method by mertsuslu
Not only does his video have spoons, it also has crystals. And a kicking eurotrash soundtrack. Also these spoons are bent using mind-control.
