Celebrity culture is an enormous faction of life for virtually any celebrity under the age of 30 today, specifically with the use of Twitter. Tabloids constantly go to press featuring very, very important items tweets featuring, like, Kim Kardashian kvelling over a burrito or something.
As an international tween superstar, Miley Cyrus essentially owes a major fraction of her career to being readily accessible to her legions of fans. She, much like Ashton Kutcher, Katy Perry, and Oprah Winfrey, understands that oversharing (or at least providing details of coveted "private life"), is of utter importance when connecting "one on one" with her fans.
But then (like Courtney Love, Larry David, Denzel Washington, Lily Allen and Judd Apatow), she recently shut down her account, citing "living for people" and "tweeting [her] pimples" as perfectly just excuses as to why she felt it necessary to abandon the microblogging platform. Of course, she did through so a lo-budg, kind-of-adorable rap video (on YouTube, ironically enough) that makes us ultimately respect Hannah Montana herself for deciding that, while the internet is the best place to broadcast one's own minutiae, it is by no means necessary that we know things like Mile's mom's bug bites (although, on second thought...).
Of course, the day Kirstie Alley decides to stop tweeting about root beer floats is the very day we'd quit the internet. So, y'know, it's a give and take kind of thing... Video below.

Gotta love how she's supposed to be Disney's sweetheart, admired by all the young kids, and her video is 1) trying to be badass and 2) features a woman in a highly cropped shirt with a TRAMP STAMP.
Ah, kind of reminds one of Miley's skankiness in the "Party in the USA" video, no?
