Sorry, pet owners, but if you're guilty of dressing up your pet for the sake of your own amusement, you may also be guilty of being terrible. No, the occasional costume meant for Halloween or a silly parade isn't necessarily offensive (and if it is, arrest us!), but when someone makes it a point to make a pet look as dopey as possible in the name of, say, a great photo opportunity, that's f---ed up (keep in mind: we report, you decide about painted poodles, etc.).
Dan and Barbara, the good people at Respect Your Pet, are fully aware of this humiliation epidemic, and are intent on putting a stop to it. On the blog, they ask for both submissions and information regarding the dum dums up to no good, spreading animal cruelty like fertilizer.
And while the blog is only two months old, we're glad to see somebody's on the lookout for those behind the shameful acts that may serve as worthwhile blog fodder but ultimately prove to be stupid and degrading actions.
