It's no secret that the desert cools off when the sun goes down, but snow in the desert in the middle of the day? How the H does that happen? There's hardly even a cloud in the sky.
Even on the off chance that this isn't snow, it's still pretty strange, right? We're talking about strange and mysterious forces at work here. Where did this white powder come from and why hasn't it blended in with the rest of the sand? Where is this biome defying arctic desert?

Salt, calcium or chalk - it's moderately common. Thisun looks like the White Desert (wow, where do they come up with these cuh-razy names?) in Egypt.
