The term "going postal" derives from the phenomenon that began in the early eighties when postal workers essentially started going super nuts, going on murderous rampages (likely as a result of dealing with an endless assembly line of envelopes and stamps hour after hour, day after day).
Of course, if you've ever waited in line to mail a package or buy stamps or pick up something that didn't fit in your mailbox, you might be able to identify -- or at least understand -- just why the place can so easily cause someone's brain wires to snap. More often than not, the lines are long, the workers are less-than-helpful, and the atmosphere itself breeds contempt and, well, chaos.
So, naturally, weirdos at the post office is definitely chronicled on the YouTubes (language NSFW).
