You might be wondering why Google's main search page displays just a barcode today. If you're curious enough to click through, you'll be taken to a result page featuring a search for "bar code" -- including lots of links where you can make your own scanable treasure! Perhaps a bit more snooping would reveal the answer to Google's "puzzle", but we'll just tell you right now: today is the barcode's birthday!
