According to Nielsen NewView numbers for last month, we spent (on average) five hours and forty-six minutes on Facebook. And according to Mashable, that's THREE TIMES more than what we spend on Google. Crazy, I know. So what are you all doing on Facebook (aside from stalking exes?) According to the crazy kids we know, you're spending lots of time playing games! And to those who aren't already playing them, here are the best games to play on Facebook -- as selected by some serious FB gamers.
FarmVille
In case you aren't familiar with Facebook, FarmVille has been getting quite a bit of buzz recently. Urlesque editors spotted the agriculture-based game rising the ranks of Google Trends, meaning people were searching the interweb for tips and tricks on how to grow the best carrots, we assume. FarmVille is a real-time farming game where you can create a virtual farm and grow everything from eggplant to strawberries. Yum.Lexulous
After the highly controversial disappearance of Scrabulous, Facebook's most beloved game that could waste hours of precious time in the cubicle, there was a scramble for another Scrabble-like application to come in a pick up the pieces. Up popped Lexulous: a word game much like the aforementioned ones, with the same power to fill your life with more vowels than you'll ever need.Mafia Wars
Why go through the hassle of being an actual Mafia boss when you could be a virtual one? (This is something you do think about, right?) Facebook's Mafia Wars has over 5 million users and is even the winner of a prestigious Webby Award. The game is simple: you have to work your way up the Mafia ladder, earning cash by doing "jobs" and establishing your criminal empire. Don't forget to pay respects to the Godfather!Pet Society
Miss the days when virtual pets thrived? (Read: Tamagotchi) With your trusty Facebook account you can once again have the pleasure (and convenience!) of owning a virtual pet. You can play games, design your house and even interact with other pet owners in the Pet Society. And if you forget to feet lil' virtual Fido? No worries! There's a spot in the virtual pet cemetery for everyone.Restaurant City
This seems to me like it would be the most unsatisfying game of the bunch, but people love creating their own restaurants in Restaurant City -- a game that lets you get in the biz without the chance for actual, real life failure. After starting your dinery, you can hire your (Facebook) friends to work as waiters and chefs and create a menu to please your diners. Make sure you keep real life snacks close at hand because you're bound to get hungry!YoVille
YoVille is another virtual world that lets you create your own avatar with which you can play amongst other avatars, belonging to Facebook users. Similar to The Sims but with a realtime spin that lets you chat in YoVille to other players -- who you can even friend on Facebook! Seems like this stuff can get kind of addicting. Tip: make sure you're unemployed before you join the world of YoVille.Uno
You might already be familiar with the offline version of the popular cardgame Uno. If so, you're in luck -- this one is pretty similar except it's on Facebook and you can play it all day long (if you have quick enough reflexes and a handy excel spreadsheet).

If you like word games please check out Sea Star Scramble: http://bit.ly/3GDiuG
It combines scrabble type letter manipulation with an exciting arcade style gameplay.

Hilarious and too true. I have friends that play three of these games for hours - those being Mafia Wars, Lexulous and Farmville. Good stuff.
