Sitting in the grass is great but sometimes it can put you a little too close to all the creepy-crawly action going on just a few inches below. Or perhaps you're worried that it's not befitting of a suited professional to plop down on the turf outside your office during your lunch break. Maybe you're not bothered by the occasional earthworm and you couldn't give less of a hoot about what the other people in the office park think of you, but still your wonky back screams out in cramps and spasms for lumbar support whenever it senses a picnic, a hint of nostalgia, or the smell of fresh-cut grass. Whatever it is that's keeping you from enjoying a seat on those pillowy green pillars, Chinese artist and architect Ling Fan has the answer. The answer -- called Floating Green -- is a wavy and conceptual bench made almost entirely out of grass.
