It's official: Windows 7 is going to be the most adorable operating system of all time. Little girls? Rabbits in hats? Kitties surrounded by marshmallows? Apparently, Microsoft knows its demographic because if an adorable puppy appeared instead of an apple upon startup, I'd be sold. (Kidding, I love you, Apple. Never leave me.)

As long as IDEAS exists there's money to be made. How do you think Microsoft works? By stealing other people(s) IDEAS or something? Like the "Word" program. Or, create a gaming system that knowingly don't actually work on it's first public release.

Oh boy! Another slow, crash-prone, unsupported without a lot of money operating system. Where do I sign up?
And Apple ain't where it's at, either!

you know what? ive used Vista since it came out, its could be alot better, but i bought it, i researched a little, but undoubtably not enough, i consider it MY fault, really people, if you just going to bitch about it, do a little more research, i understand alot of people didnt have a choice, their employers or what not change the system on them, to these people they should be thankful, they get more coffee breaks while admins fix the errors...lol

Im a pc technician and I have a few words.. I beta tested Win 7 for a while.. I got tired of it and reinstalled my vista Premium 64Bit back to original factory settings.. I didn't 'NOT LIKE' Win 7 but it really wasn't much more than a "cuter" version of Vista..ie., really nice wallpaper,screensavers.. there are some actual 'benefits' with regard to power dispersion within software streams etc.. coding is more apt to performance and visual effect more to quality so there's a good blend there of both.. With regard to 'XP' as the 'good guy' in all this.. I say this much.. Microsft realized that with newer more powerful hardware being constantly upgraded.. mobos (motherboards) were changing right alongside processors and ram specs were ever increasin as well.. so with motherboard changes it can't be helped there has to be operating system changes.. vista is so much better than XP but there were the 'compatibility' issues in trying to cross from the old to the new.. the idea however is to just buy a Vista pc, not upgrade (but shhh Bill would deny this on the basis of upgrades bringing in more than 30% of annual revenue).. I would have to agree that the newer pc's are getting better in the area of 'fit' between the mobo, the hardware and os.. all coming together.. won't be perfect yet in W7 I'd say MS will have a near-perfect product in about 10 years.. In the meantime try to enjoy the 'freezes' the 'reboots' the 'circle spinning', and the 'permission clicks' ..
End.

As a person already running Windows 7 ultimate, let me say that vista was a great OS once you got used to it. Furthermore Windows 7 takes everything great about Vista and combines it with the speed and reliability of XP(not to mention a few new suprises :D). C'mon guys XP was 10 years ago. You cant hang on forever.

Windows vista wasn't all bad, sure it had it's problems, but once you got use to it, it wasn't all bad. I beta tested windows 7 and fell in love with it. It runs fairly quickly and keeps the pretty vista feel. My friend is already running 7 Ultimate and his machine runs like no other. He has a 2.8GHz dual-core CPU, 4 GB of DDR2 Dual-channel RAM, and his boot time is half of my XP machine, and my machine has close to the same specs on it.
