Waiting for the bus isn't exactly the most glamorous thing to do, but at these cool bus stops, it may very well trump getting to your destination. It sure beats trying to hail a cab in the rain.

I'm Canadian, and we have heated outdoor bus stops in a couple big cities. They don't run non-stop; when you enter one, you hit a button to run the heater for ten minutes or so.

There is no need to heat the bus stop at night in Dubai. It's oppressively around the clock. As it it right on the water, the "cool desert nights" thing doesn't happen. It does cool off from like 5C when the sun goes down...

The Ventura bus stop is not beautiful or cool. It's kinda sad, really. No one looks happy when they wait for a bus there because it's just not a place that people feel comfortable around. It looks like a train wreck, and feels like that too.

No one looks happy waiting for the bus, period. I don't think we can hold that against the Ventura bus stop.
