There's nothing like the smell of newly-sharpened pencils, the crackling crunch of autumn leaves, and the soft touch of crisp new sweaters to signal the start of another school year. For many kids, it's the fresh opportunity to make friends, achieve high marks, and pave a path toward a successful future as one of the nation's best and brightest.
