Kids. They grow up so fast these days, with the Twitter and the MySpace and Tamagotchi and sports drinks. You've gotta hand it to them, though: they've got their technology and they know how to use it.
Which is why the dense YouTube account of Nicholifavs, filled with a kid who vlogs exclusively from New York City's Fifth Avenue Apple Store, is merely a natural progression in the realm of Things Kids Do Now.
If, indeed, this is a viral marketing ploy by Apple, then hats off. And if it isn't, Apple had better snatch him up quick. Justin Long, meet your match.
Update 8/20/09: The internet has spoken! Since our original post, things have really started to take off for 13-year-old Nicholi White from Harlem, New York. After growing interest and coverage online, Good Morning America featured Nicholi's videos, touting him as "YouTube's Newest Star." Most recently, White was profiled in the New York Post where he talks about his newfound web "celebrity":
I'm blowing up... I'm going back to school on Sept. 9, and I can't wait. I'm going to show my teachers.
Aside from school, what's next for Nicholi? Well according to a video posted this week, he's headed to Los Angeles. Nothing has been confirmed, but the New York Post claims that "the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah have also come calling."
We'll keep you updated on things as they unfold, although I'm sure simply subscribing to his YouTube channel will provide all the breaking news straight from White -- where he thrives -- at the Apple store.

I thought this kid was great. Not afraid to show what he can do. He wasn't imbarrassed. Good luck to him. No one is perfect, sure he missed some words, I still watched the whole thing. It was Cool.

Whats races got to do with it? Anyone who acts like a thug from a gangster video is make me move my wallet to my front pocket. Or are YOU saying only certain races do that?

We have a President that does the same thing.
by:// Greg - Aug 24th 2009___________Come on!This has nothing to do with politics. Can we stay on topic here? It is like we get two or three who do this all the time.
And I don't know why some people here are being so nasty. I don't think he was trying to be talented or famous. He's thirteen for pete's sake! He was just having fun. He probably post to youtube to watch himself and show it off to his friends. It was all just for thirteen year old fun. Lighten up!

Um really not too impressive how about we focus on more prominent issues happening in the world than a 13 year old lip singing and barely dancing to the black eyed peas. I was not impressed aol... find something else to focus your time on. Maybe if all the sudden he broke out in crazy dance moves would this have been cool... but no he didn't so get over it.

This kid was great I had to watch it again...I do have to say to the idiot adult male in the background who reached above this kids head twice has alot of growing up to do....How disrespectful of him to think it was ok to do that to a child...How small of you.

This kid is being a kid. Why do adults always have to get in on nothing and attempt to make something out of it....now What in the heck does the President have to do with this kid? Is the President also responsible for the dumb comments from "you people"....gee people find a life then attempt to enjoy it

No hating, but come on, this is so stupid. The same likes that voted for Obama only because he's black are the only one's raving about this kid. There is no talent what so ever here. Just a kid being silly, and there's nothing wrong with that, but don't try and make a star out of him.

I was against kids and internet because I think they need to be outside playing in the sun like we use to do, but now I think about it, I rather this become a fade and hopefully keep kids off the streets, out of gangs, and off drugs. This is adorable. I love it!!! Dont matter if it was good or bad, it's showing interest in other things besides hangin in the streets gettin into trouble. Good Luck sweetheart!!!!

Okay.. yes, it's cute. But our country needs to really do something about our youth. All anyone wants to do today is be famous. We need to be praising the kids out there who are using their summers reading and studying...not giving attention to kids who are just dancing and posting videos.

anybody ever post a YouTube video with music? YouTube identifies copyrighted material like the music the kid is dancing to and doesn't allow the video. I think Apple is definitely behind this.
