Baby Eliot (love that name!) was born with "an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body." His parents, in an act that took an immeasurable amount of bravery, closely documented every day of his short yet miraculous life, ending with a funeral in which attendees each let a balloon into the air (99 in total) for each day Eliot had with his mom and dad.
This video has been a huge view-grabber on the Internet for the past couple of years, and rightly so, although it recently regained traction after Eliot's proud parents were featured on some show hosted by lady named Opera? Ooprah? (Ed note: I believe her name is Oprah.)

This is the saddest thing I've ever seen.

I admire the strength of the father of Elliot. I am a father of 5 beautiful girls. I have never once taken them for granted. I am very fortunate to have healthy children and having 5 makes it so hard to see someone have to go through an event such as you have gone through. I hope you and your wife try again. You both seem to be genuine at heart. You have all my prayers and heart felt admiration. May God bless you for knowing the 99 days you had with Elliot were a blessing. That you savored them more than most people savor time with their healthy children.
