Offered to elementary school children as a background option for their school portrait, the laser background always cost a few bucks more and usually caused quite a fuss between moms and kids before Picture Day. With the help of nostalgic kids like myself, I've built this amazing collection all from submissions made by the laser-lovers themselves. That said, here's a small collection of a few of my favorite lasers. Enjoy, and check out the rest at We Have Lasers!!!!!!!!!!!
- Look! It's singer-songwriter Jason Mraz! WHL's first celebrity-submitted laser portrait!

- STRIPES & LASERS = fantastic clashing!

- The traditional laser background featuring a side ponytail. Hot!

- Starburst lasers make Jennalise seem like she's moving through space.
- Let's call Lauren's background Spirograph lasers; they come in vibrant blues and purples.

- "Authentic" lasers, just like Gabi claims on his sweatshirt!

- Thanks to my mother, who paid for two laser backgrounds one fateful year. Here's my little brother David's turtleneck'd laser.

- This is my all-time favorite laser portrait. I make this claim often, but wide-eyed Chris has the spirit of lasers in his soul.

- SPOILER ALERT! This is actually my laser portrait! Don't you love my Barbara Walters-esque soft focus?

- You know you've got a classic laser portrait when the subject's wearing a chunky sweater.

- The one that (pretty much) started it all. Jeffrey's laser portrait was submitted to awesome-blog Sexy People, and sparked my renewed love for the lasers.
