Rose Marie Hinckley only found out recently that she was a grandmother. She learned this from her grandkids' dad -- her son, Ron -- who was very much alive, after each had spent almost half a century thinking the other was dead. Forty years ago, Hinckley's former husband (and Ron's father) Carl had told his son that his mother was killed by a drunk driver, while Rose had been told that her son was also killed in a car accident.
But after Ron spent five years searching for his mother's grave, his wife, April, came across one of Rose's distant cousins on a genealogy website. April learned that Rose was alive and well, and after decades of believing the other was gone forever, Rose and her son, Ron, are back together.
