Greetings intrepid readers and amateur detectives. We don't know what these things are (we just know where to find them), so put your sleuthing skills to good use and help us out. What is this? Where did it come from? And what is it doing here? Tell us everything you know.
Help us out, readers. What is this headless scaly beast? Not talking about the guy.

I think Jason is right. Unfortunately, it doesn't look much like a salamander at all, but more like a giant tongue with feet. Blech. Poor guy. And by guy, I mean the salamander.

A tongue with feet. I like that.

When I first looked at the pic, I imediatly thought oh, it's a giant salamander. Upon reading the comments it looks like someone also agrees. I can see it's beady little eyes & the typically flat head. My daughter loves salamanders! Our favorite kind of salamander is called a Hellbender. She says they look like slugs with legs. I'll have to show her this pic. She'll get a kick out of this big ol' boy!!
